"Brief" was written in 2005 in Indiana, and "Nanny" was written in California in 2007, with my friend Lizzy Szabo. Both songs were recorded in Santa Fe, New Mexico in 2011. They may not be perfect performances, but they are honest.

The instrumental, "Amethystos," was composed in 2018 and rearranged in 2022.

These songs wanted to come now. I don't know why. Without reason or rhyme, now is their time.
